This is one of the last pictures I took from my mother, Maggie Hoynck van Papendrecht, in summer 2008. She was already hospitalized then, suffering from Alzheimer. In September she died, aged 81.

I was drawn to this photo on the community shots, I thought she looked like my grandmother. Funny to find out Maggie lived in the Nederland, ok, mijn mammam.... Beautiful portrait!!!! I am sorry for your loss.

@Denise: Thanks a lot for your encouraging comments. I took a look at your own contributions and was impressed; technically very fine photos and an attractive scenery by the way. I especialy like the exposure and focus of them. Not what I usually see from bloggers that call themselves 'true beginners'. Kind regards.
